Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith, who was raised by a loving family and supported by his parents. He is the oldest son of Elder T.E Oyakhilome and Angelina Oyakhilome. She was the pioneer of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City and a matriarch of the Oyakhilome families. She handed down her divine grace on her son at an early age.

The LoveWorld ministry is a family effort. Reverend Ken the brother of Ken is the beloved minister of Christ Embassy's Houston Texas Church and a member on Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren serves as the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry(LMAM) in which many gospel musicians are among the top-selling in the world.

Pastor Chris has two daughters: Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his education at Edo College. Then he was awarded a scholarship to study at Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There he graduated with a BSc. in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science. He also has the recipient of an honorary doctorate from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was where the Lord called him to serve the Lord and become a minister.

The LoveWorld ministry was launched under the leadership of Pastor Chris. It is a pioneer in satellite television, Christian TV production and programming. LOVEWORLDSAT was the first Christian television station to broadcast from Africa all day long on free-to-air channels. Today, LoveWorld stations can be located on cable and satellite TV networks around the world.

Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris's home country of Nigeria in addition to South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. The church operates two Healing Schools located in South Africa and Canada, where Pastor Chris holds seasonal sessions where miracles are performed.

The Man of God founded NGOs to offer essential services and provide hope to the poor, needy and uninformed. The five partners of COFI share a common goal: to raise living standards and enhance the quality of life in least developed areas.

COFI is responsible for the InnerCity Mission ICM for Children, the Volunteer Medical Corps VMC, Traumacare International Foundation TCIF, Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF), along with the Bible For All Mission. Each of these groups strives to improve health, lives, and spirits, especially those most at risk.

His charitable organization also provides food to indigent children. Pastor Chris believes that strong community foundations are fostered by COFI and The InnerCity Mission.
